Scheduling of Golf Tournaments

The following instructions describe policy and procedures for scheduling golf tournaments at Blanchard golf course; this is applicable to all personnel.

All tournaments must be Air Force sponsored or be affiliated with an organization having direct interaction with Davis-Monthan AFB. Air Force and Golf Course sponsored events will normally be scheduled Monday through Sunday with early tee times. Organization affiliated tournaments will be scheduled for late tee times on the second shift.

Upon making a confirm booking, “The Tournament Request Form”, attach #1, will be completed and signed by the Project Officer and the Director of Golf or his designee a minimum of five days in advance of the tournament date.  This will include all information needed for the golf course to assist in the tournament.

All beverages will be purchased from the Eagles’ Nest Restaurant.  There will be a corkage fee charge for all/any beverage not purchased from the Eagles’ Nest.  A beverage cart is available for use.

With the exception of trophies and novelty type awards, prizes will be via merchandise/gift certificates from the Blanchard Golf Course Pro Shop.

The following guidelines apply for scheduling tournaments:

  • Less than 37 players; consecutive tee times when utilizing one side to start or modified tee times when both sides are being used.

  • Less than 100 players; modified consecutive tee times using both sides.

  • 100 plus players; shotgun start.

  • If the tournament would like a shotgun start and agrees to let the golf course fill the used tees then a shotgun start may be used.

  • All scheduled tournaments will pay in advance, a minimum of 5 days or the tournament will be cancelled.  Payment for all participants over the 100-participation minimum will be made the day of the event.

  • Starting times for tournaments will be subject to approval by the Director of Golf or the Assistant Manager.

  • During tournament play, all participants will ride golf carts.

  • The pre-payment for tournaments is non-refundable except for course closure and/or base requirements.

  • The Director of Golf or Assistant Manager may make exceptions to the signing of  “The Tournament Request” form when it may benefit the overall golf operation i.e. the Retired League, 9 and 18 Hole Ladies and Intramurals.

  • A tee time roster, see attach. #2 will be turned in to the Pro Shop NLT two days prior to the event.

  • Advance green fees will only be accepted for Blanchard Golf Course sponsored tournaments.
